“The educated mind is the measure of man” Of course one can be educated toward good or evil. Yet to learn to think, learn to reason, learn to develop one’s mind toward useful enterprises is so important in life.
Some brief ideas about intellectual culture.
- Listen to audiobooks and presentations. Audible, Youtube, the library system, Spotify, all are great resources to use.
- Do serious academic research in your fields of interests. Here is a copy of my Doctoral Dissertation on Discipleship, Leadership, church growth for my local church at the time. Click here
- Surround yourselves with a learning community. This might be a traditional school setting, cohort, small group, or work team. When people that share the same passion gather together, iron sharpens iron.
- Build into your daily schedule a dedicated time for reading, reflection and learning.
